Ice Castles

Last night some friends and I went up to the Midway Ice Castles. I had heard a lot of people talking about them, so we had to go check them out. It was way fun! I want to go again in a couple of months because they’re continually growing them, so they’ll be massive closer to the end of winter! (well, before it starts to warm up…)

This is going to be an arch by the time they’re done with it.

A lot of it was built by taking individual icicles and freezing them together. This place has taken an insane amount of work! Some of my friends met the guy who made it while we were there and heard all about how he does it. So cool!

It was so fun but also really cold by the time we left! So I convinced our car that it was mandatory to stop at 7-11 for hot chocolate. Nothing like hazelnut creamers and mini marshmallow for $1.37!

Busy busy day today! I can’t even remember a Saturday when I had nothing to do. That’s why we have Sundays though. (sometimes?) haha Have a safe Saturday!

What did you do last night?

Utah people, have you been to the Ice Castles? What did you think?
